I'm struggling to make sense of a recent article that said inflight magazines are some of the best advertising buys to reach households with over $100,000 in annual income.
Only a handful of other publications can boast this income from their readers (Barron's, Wall Street Journal and The Economist).
It still continues to surprise me that people who have this kind of income can still have some of the poorest manners.
Once again Money does not equal Class!

I'd agree, except that I know way too many highly educated people who are idiots, and just as rude as the rest of the population.
It's funny/sad, but you're right, basic etiquette is a grossly lacking among nearly everyone... not just people (regardless of income level).
One funny thing is that so many people think that if you have a household income of 100K, that makes you "rich". I do realize that a household income level of 100K does put one in a very high percentile relative to the general population, but the group of people that I know that have incomes between 100K and 150K would NEVER consider themselves "rich" or even upper middle class. I'm sure many have differing experiences, but I'm not sure making 100K qualifies someone as "having money". What do you think?
Naw, I don't think having an income over $100K makes someone rich. (Although flight attendants don't make anywhere near that much!)
That number seems to be how advertisers define "affluent" for purposes of media buys.
Affluent merely means they can afford to buy brand name more often and tend to have a taste for applebees.

In my first post, by educated I meant well-mannered :-P
Also, I think "Fly Girl" choose words very well: "affluent" means rich but not with regards to income level, but in relation to what kind of lifestyle people choose to live.

It helps a lot, at least I get the picture on how is it like to be one besides knowing the fact of my lure to travel...

Good luck with your interviews. I love being a flight attendant, and can't imagine doing anything else. It is fun, however, to poke fun at the job, too.
That's crazy! I had no idea people even looked at those magazines...usually they just use them as a place to stick their gum!

But, evidently, people really do read them.
